Maruti Suzuki has announced that it will launch a service campaign to rectify a potential problem with the brakes in its premier S-Cross model.

The screening will be done on cars manufactured between April 20th 2015 and February 12th 2016, and will cover both the DDiS 200 and the DDiS 320 variants.

The announcement comes close on the heels of the parent company, Suzuki Motor Corporation, admitting to fudging fuel efficiency tests in Japan, its home market.

The Indian automotive major’s exercise will cover a total of 20,427 units of S-Cross. Affected owners will be contacted by dealers, can also check the NEXA website.

Maruti Suzuki’s premium retail outlet NEXA sells Baleno hatchback and the S-Cross, which has a retail price band of Rs 8,03,041 to Rs 12,03,495.
