Zilla Panchayat chief P I Srividya has stressed the importance of questioning the violation of consumer rights, no matter how insignificant they might seem.

Inaugurating a World Consumer Day programme here, she said both products and services are covered by consumer rights, and said awareness needs to be created on the subject in villages.

The programme was organized by the district administration, Department of Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and District Consumer Information Centre and District Federation of Consumer Organizations.
