The medical council of India had declared on 29th September 2016 that the following courses offered in the respective institutions are illegal and students admitted in them shall not get recognised medical qualifications entitling them to practice medicine.

“Master in emergency medicine” on K.D. Ambani hospital, Mumbai.

“Master in Emergency medicine” in AMRI Hospital, Bhubaneswar

“PG Diploma in HIV medicine, Health management maternal and child health and Genetic Medicine by IGNOU.
No central Government permission has been obtained for conducting these courses.

Originally permission was granted under section 10(A) of the Indian Medical council Act. But subsequently the permission was withdrawn.

The MCI in its notice informs that such courses in modern medicines are illegal and void
It ha also been stated in the notice that the updated list of courses are published in the website of MCI, which is www.mciindia.org along with the status of the college ad number of seats approved/ permitted.

Public are requested to verify the website of MCI, before seeking admission in such courses / Colleges
