Maruti Suzuki India is recalling a total of 77,380 Baleno and DZire cars to upgrade airbag controller software and set right a possible glitch in the fuel filter.

The 75,419 Baleno cars being recalled include over 17,000 vehicles made for export. The fuel filters of almost 16,000 of the Baleno cars under review will also be checked. If found faulty, the filters will be replaced, a company statement said.

The Baleno cars on the recall list were manufactured between August 3, 2015 and May 17, 2016.

The fuel filters of the 1961 DZire diesel hatchback cars with auto-shift gear technology which are being recalled will also be checked and replaced if necessary.
